The Opéra is one of Dijon's leading cultural venues. Dominique Pitoiset and his team are once again aiming to offer the very best in contemporary creation in all disciplines. In classical music, the OD welcomes the great Russian pianist Elisabeth Leonskaja to perform works by Beethoven. In terms of workshops, this year the opera house's choirs and children were invited to perform operettas and musical comedies in their musical theater Oh La La La!

Box office open Tuesday to Saturday, 11am to 6pm. Online booking available. Information by phone. Opera tickets from €5.50 to €65. Under-26s (students or not): €10. Reduced price for jobseekers, people on reintegration schemes, apprentices, RSA recipients for 2 months, large family card holders. Children: €5.50. Subscription available for 3 shows or more. Admission is free for children under 15 when accompanied by an adult over 60 who has purchased a full-price ticket.

Push open the doors of the Dijon Opera House, vibrate to the sound of the concerts, combine the pleasure of the eyes and ears by discovering the productions of lyric art, theater, dance and circus.
The Dijon Opera brings together two prestigious halls: the Auditorium, a contemporary hall, and the Grand Théâtre, an Italian-style hall. The Auditorium and the Grand Théâtre offer complementary lyrical art productions, symphonic and world music concerts, dance, circus, performing arts and musical theater.
Inaugurated on June 20, 1998, the Dijon Auditorium is the collective work of the architectural firms Arquitectonica (Miami) and Bougeault-Walgenwitz (Dijon), assisted by Richard Martinet (Paris). Its acoustics, one of the most beautiful in Europe, make it a sought-after work tool for the greatest international orchestras and conductors. The hall can accommodate up to 1,600 people. Its modern technical facilities also allow it to be a real production venue for opera, theater and dance, a function it has fully assumed, in complementarity with the Grand Théâtre, since 2002.
Located in the heart of one of the richest historical heritages in Europe, the Grand Théâtre de Dijon plays a major role in the cultural life of the city. Built in 1828, the Grand Théâtre, which has a seating capacity of nearly 690, has already undergone several renovations since its construction began in 1810. Today, a program of interior work is required in the area dedicated to artists and technicians, before rethinking the spaces to make them more functional, safe and adapted to the heritage rules of eco-rehabilitation
The Opera's artistic project aims to reinvest the space to make it a living cultural space, a meeting place, and above all a place of pleasure and education for all audiences. It offers excellent conditions for listening and viewing, in the intimate setting of an Italian-style hall of human dimensions.
The Dijon Opera is also a creative house: it has its own choir and its own set and costume workshops for its opera productions.
The price of shows, including operas, varies between 5.50€ and 65€: for children under 15 and holders of the Culture Card, it is 5.50€, and for young people under 26 (students or not), the ticket is 10€ for all shows. Other reduced rates are available under certain conditions.
