DETROIT RECEIVING HOSPITAL

DMC Detroit Receiving Hospital is a hospital located in Detroit, Michigan. It is the first Level I trauma center in the state, and plays a constant and innovative role in the evolution of emergency medicine. Its emergency department is one of the busiest and best-equipped in the country. It trains nearly half of Michigan's emergency medicine physicians. The hospital is also home to the state's oldest and largest verified burn center, one of only 63 in the country. Visiting hours are from 8am to 8pm. Patients are allowed two visitors at a time. Children under the age of 12 are not allowed in patient rooms, and cannot be left unsupervised in public areas of the hospital. Visiting hours in the intensive care unit are from 8am to 8pm. The hospital offers expertise in many specialized services, including emergency medicine and trauma, intensive care, orthopedics, neurosciences, nephrology, pulmonology, diabetes, geriatrics and urology. The hospital is also nationally recognized for its Rosa Parks Geriatric Center. It offers consultation services in several specialized clinics.
