Already more than 100 years old, this restaurant has been delighting its guests with its famous Coney Dogs covered in a homemade chili sauce. To try!
Opened in 1914, Lafayette Coney Island is an institution in Detroit, a mythical address that all locals know and praise (i.e. another Coney Island is right next door and the competition between the two is fierce). They serve homemade chili sauce hot dogs known throughout Michigan and beyond! It's dirty and so good! You can also eat burgers, chilis, french fries (with or without chili), etc. The decoration contributes to the charm of the house, the old-fashioned way. Unmistakable!
