Internationally, we call "Via Baltica" the European road 67 which actually links Helsinki in Prague via Tallinn, Pärnu, then Riga in Latvia, Kaunas in Lithuania and then Warsaw, along thus from north to south the east coast of the Baltic. However, in Estonia, "Via Baltica" refers more often to the country's main road, road N ° 1 which runs along the northern side of the Baltic (not the face), linking Tallinn to Narva and the Russian border. Between Tallinn and Narva, the largest industrial centres in the country are expanding, with heavy industrial infrastructures, marked by the Soviet past and with a Russian-speaking majority. This Estonia, unlike Estonia's rural, forestry and "Estonian", is an urban territory, somewhat devastated and very prone to Russia. It comprises the cities of Kohtla-Järve (the fourth town of the country living in oil), Jöhvi, Toila, Sillamaë, Sinimaë and Narva. Little tourist, this territory is not very attractive within the meaning of the classic criteria, but it can be formidably interesting for who is curious to dive into these post-Soviet, industrial and resolutely Russian atmospheres.
