It is a natural reserve famous for its lagoon. Although semi-desert, this environment is a paradise for more than 90 species of aquatic birds. Even if the emblematic bird of this rich biodiversity remains the pink flamingo, the reserve also hosts swans, herons and Franklin's gulls (endangered species). Wildlife lovers will also be able to observe guanacos, maras (Patagonian hares) and Magellanic foxes. The more athletic will climb up to Cerro Trapal to enjoy a beautiful view of the big cactus, the lagoon and the Andes Mountains.
