It is the largest protected territory in Bulgaria, and the ponticus azaleas is its symbol. The yellow lily that it houses is of global importance. The park includes Les, Rezvaya, monuments and protected natural species. The migratory route of Black Sea birds Via Pontica passes over the park. Wolves and lynx inhabit the sites.On the territory of the park there are five reserves (but visits are forbidden), including the reserve of Uzunbudjak which contains centuries-old oak forests registered in the UNESCO Biosphere RESERVES Register.The park also houses architectural and archaeological reserves, fortress ruins, two menebria tombs near Mishkova Niva and Propada, in the vicinity of Malko Tarnovo, and numerous churches or chapels.www.visitstrandja.com
