In this very affordable reserve, even for the small budget, you can admire giant baobabs planted in a spectacular landscape close to the Mogalakwena River and brown hyenas. The site offers a lodge and camps in association with the very serious De Wildt Wild Cheetah Project (www.makulumakete.com) which is fighting to save the critically endangered cheetahs. The park is working to rehabilitate the cheetahs in the wild, which is a very long process for the researchers. A unique place to discover these fascinating animals and finance a good cause. The road is quite difficult to find.
