FESTIVAL DEL FRÍO

The winter in Puerto Rico is the harshest in Adjuntas, in the central mountains, where the temperature can drop to 4°C in February, the coldest time of the year. On an island known for its warm climate, the "Festival del Frío", the festival of cold, celebrates the coldest peak temperature in Puerto Rico! Since 2009, each year, this event welcomes several thousand visitors who often camp out for the occasion. Among Puerto Ricans, any occasion is good to take when it comes to feasting!
