NOSSA SENHORA DA ANUNCIAÇÃO CHURCH

The parish church of Nossa Senhora da Anunciação, built in the 16th^century and rebuilt in 1782, is well worth a visit, especially for the view it affords of the cliffs of the north coast, in the shade of a superb araucaria tree. But it's above all on the other side of the EN1A, at the bottom of a narrow gorge, that you can admire the lovely Achada waterfall, amid a veritable forest of pittosporum.
