Travel Guide Lombadas

The secondary road from Ribeira Grande to Lagoa do Congro is, in our opinion, one of the most beautiful on the island. It climbs, with beautiful views over Ribeira Grande and the north coast, to the western tip of the island, before turning right on a detour to the wild and little-known Lombadas valley. The road soon becomes a paved path through interesting vegetation. A beautiful waterfall can be seen on the right, bursting out of the groves. We cross the Ribeira Grande and finally reach an abandoned building. From here, there are hiking trails for walkers who want to enjoy these almost pristine, verdant landscapes.
