MUSEO AND SITE OF KUNTUR WASI

A 2 hour drive and 68 km from Cajamarca, the discovery of tombs in this region led to the creation of this small museum which houses a collection of gold and gemstone silverware, including a splendid crown with 14 faces. Built to offer local benefits, its remoteness and lack of exposure do little to help. We also visit the archaeological site itself and its mysterious totem pole planted in the middle of wind-blown landscapes.
