VEKE VEKE VILLAGE

We loved our stay at Vekeveke. The food is good, tasty and we have dessert at every dinner. Depending on the season and what is available (people seem to forget this is a far away atoll that receives once a week provisions) the host family offers a full touamotu breakfast to the guest that you will no try in any hotel. We were lucky to try it once in our stay. This is the difference between being in a pension and a hotel: the closest contact with the locals, the sharing and meeting other people.
Unfortunately Vekeveke has received lately bad reviews. If something if of your dislike is enough to talk directly to Tao, the owner, which try her best to make you feel at home in their property. She is very reactive to any feedback done with respect and decency.
Fakarava is a beautiful place that needs the visitor to be simpler so you can fully appreciate its richness. Vekeveke offers this calmer environment because it has only 6 bungalows.
If you are a photographer make sure to bring good equipment because you can take the most amazing pictures of the milky way.
We’ll definitely come back.
There is no AC and it was ok. We were perfectly fine with the fan.

Emplacement très agréable au calme de la Polynésie entre la pointe nord et Sud .
Pas de télé met le wifi .

Service nul, chambres avec douche bouchée et odeur d'égout, restaurant à peine propre avec chef en Tee shirt dégueu et petit déjeuner avec ...confiture de fraises et myrtille donc...de Polynésie: NUL je ne recommande absolument pas. C'est la première fois que je laisse un tel avis!

Great dinner and nice beach. But the rooms are in need of renovation. It is a pity because with a small amount of money this would have been a great pension
