Known for his works, including the famous Bounty trilogy, the writer James Norman Hall has had a museum open since 2002 in his honour, run by his daughter Nancy. In addition to the many books, personal objects and photos that make up the establishment, a pleasant terrace serves as a tea room. You can also have lunch there (by booking the day before). The residence, typical of the 1930s, is a beautiful testimony to the colonial architecture of the time. It can be visited quite quickly.

Le lieu est magique, l’atmosphère apaisante. L’histoire de l’écrivain est à connaître. Je salut l’accueil des employés du musée. À ne pas manquer. Vous pouvez même repartir avec un livre de l’auteur et je vous conseil même d’acheter « la jambe du docteur dog body » bonne visite à tous.

Esta muy bien conservada ahora para museo es pequeño y carisimo, 7€ para una casa de 1 habitación, algunas fotos y libros antiguos pero en la estanteria me parece excesivo.
Nosotras no encontramos el parking lo que si hay justo en la entrada es la parada del bus, hay un autobus cada hora

Very nice and they gave a lovely tour and History of the author of Munity on the Bounty.

We were on a guided tour and we're served lemonade and Banana bread.

A really nice museum for the author of Muriny on the Bounty. We went as part of a tour after disembarking from the cruise ship; I wasn't really into this stop but have to admit I was unexpectedly impressed. James Hall flew with the Escodrille Lafayette, an American volunteer fighter squadron in France ???????? in WWI. These were some brave, badass dudes risking their lives when they didn't have to. Huge respect for these heroes.

Dans mon top 3 des visites que j'ai fait a Tahiti ! J'ai eu la chance d'être seule dans la maison lors de ma visite, immersion totale dans le monde de James Norman Hall. Tout les hôtes ont été au petit soin avec afin de me faire découvrir la vie de ce grand homme.
