Located in the center of the country not far from Yamoussoukro, near the Bouaflé-Daloa road and the large Kossou lake. It covers nearly 101,000 hectares between savannah and forest and was created to bring together several classified forests (Zuénoula, Séninlégo, Bouaflé and Tos). It has a few rare elephants, bongos and waterbucks (a type of antelope) and buffalo imported from South Africa. There is a visitor center at the main entrance, as well as high observation points, an elephant pond and a picnic area. Unfortunately, the center is subject to poaching and deforestation and is not well maintained. For more information, contact OIPR (www.oipr.ci).
