The United States Bullion Depository, or U.S. Gold Depository, or Gold Vault, is the United States gold reserve since 1935. It was the world's largest gold reserve, particularly during the Second World War, where more than 20 000 tons of precious metals slept there before being détrônée by the New York Federal Reserve (Fed). Today, it is estimated that 4 500 tonnes of ingots are stored there, which is more than half what can be found at the Fed in New York. You can't visit it.
