OSCAR GETZ MUSEUM OF WHISKEY & BARDSTOWN HISTORICAL MUSEUM
The two museums are located in Spalding Hall, a beautiful building dating back to 1826.
Oscar Getz Museum of Whiskey. It presents a collection of 50 years of object and rare documents concerning the American whiskey industry from pre-colonial to post-prohibition years. It shows exhibitions on Presidents George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, stills that served the illegal distillers, old bottles and whiskey pitchers, bottles of medicinal whiskey, time commercials, and much more.
Bardstown Historical Museum. The museum houses exhibits relating to the 200 years of history of the region. You'll find Indian relics, Lincoln documents and pioneers, a replica of the first steamboat of the great inventor John Fitch (1743-1798), objects of civil war and many more.
