ŠKOCJAN MUSEUM

Three houses make up this small museum on a 2 km educational trail with explanatory panels in Slovenian only. The first is devoted to ethnography. It is an old granary where wheat, rye and barley were stored. The museum presents agricultural activity and the use of cereals in everyday life. The second house is dedicated to the history of the caves and their discovery. In the third house, various objects such as pottery, necklaces, found in the depths of the surroundings are exhibited.
