Travel Guide Ngombe

More than 900 km from Brazzaville, Ngombé is a town of around 10,000 inhabitants, cut off from the rest of the world in the heart of the rainforest. It is the counterpart of Pokola on the other bank of the Sangha River, where IFO has its logging headquarters and employs over 1,100 people in wood processing. Numerous initiatives have been undertaken to promote the social development of the local population: electricity is supplied rapidly, a special school has even been opened for children, a library contains almost 10,000 books and a new health center caters for the sick from Ngombé and neighbouring villages.
