ORANGE CLIFFS OVERLOOK

The Orange Cliffs are located at the northernmost point of Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, and are also a part of Canyonlands National Park. Elevations range from 4,000 to 8,000 feet. Spring and fall are the best times to visit this very remote desert area. There are many hiking trails. The Oranges Cliffs are especially beautiful to see in the late afternoon, when the sun begins to fall below the horizon and the cliffs are illuminated with a brilliant orange glow, hence the name.
