Park Theodore Roosevelt protects a mythical space: that of Badlands, this shredded, shredded relief that gives the earth surface a lunar appearance. It offers an unusual and impressive landscape of curved meadows and hills, which crosses strangely with a loss of sight.Located in North West Dakota, he was named after the famous American President because he was very attached to this landscape and worked hard for his conservation. The park covers 285 km 2. It is divided into three parts: the South Unit, the North Unit and the Elkhorn Ranch Unit, named after the former President's ranch. The park's territory houses herds of wild buffalo and mustangs. Men also use it as grazing for their herds. Its appearance can be very different depending on the season: green meadows cover its hills in the spring; in summer and autumn, the yellow of the past grass gives him particularly arid air, while the snow coat gives him the most surreal air in winter. In particular, you can immerse yourself in the Roosevelt hut, visit the museum dedicated to it and the ranch. And of course, walk through the roads of this strange and majestic landscape.
