Ebony Club is one of the most famous Afro-American nightclubs in the South. It was built in 1948 by the entrepreneur Johnny Jones. Ray Charles (1930-2004), Count Basie (1904-1984), B.B. King (1925), Bobby "Blue" Bland (1930-2013), Little Milton (1934-2005), Albert King (1923-1992), Willie Clayton (1955), and many other legendary bluesmen occurred there. At the time of his resale by the owner of the sites in 2008, B.B. King acquired the facility to maintain the activity of the club.
