ECOMUSEUM LA ALCOGIDA

Reconstruction of traditional rural life around a few houses representative of Fuerteventura architecture. Seven houses in a hamlet have been restored using original materials. They retrace the life of a village of yesteryear, with workshops, barns, mills, bread ovens and reconstructed dwellings and lifestyles. Various craft courses are held in each house: embroidery, wicker basket-making, ceramics, woodworking, stonework and galvanized steel, cheese-making and gofio. The baker even comes to bake her bread in the small oven three times a week.
