This bronze equestrian statue (Spomenik Miloša Obilića, Statuja e Millosh Obiliqi) was installed here in 2014. It depicts the Serbian-Montenegrin nobleman Miloš Obilić, who was supposed to have killed Sultan Murad I at the Battle of Kosovo Polje in 1389. A semi-legendary hero, this knight is the subject of many poems and stories in the Balkans. Made in 1999, this not very beautiful work was previously located in the courtyard of the monastery. An even less successful statue can also be seen in Obiliq (west of Pristina), where Miloš Obilić is presented as Albanian.
