CHURCH OF THE PROTECTION OF THE MOTHER OF GOD

The wooden Orthodox Church built in 1763. It is a typical building of the churches of the Rutheno-Ukrainian region with its three-dimensional shape. Its interior decoration dates back to the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. Its rococo iconostasis is one of the most precious and complete in Slovakia with the altar of 1780 devoted to the birth of the Virgin Mary. The interior is complemented by precious baroque chandeliers and liturgical books of the eighteenth century.
