The typology of the three altars allows an estimation of its construction around 1460, which would make it the oldest in Slovakia. It is one of the few wooden churches in the Catholic rite region, the builders chose this material because they had plenty of it in this area. The altars are dedicated to Saint Catherine, the Virgin Mary and Saint Barbara. The bedside is decorated with geometric paintings, decorations typical of the Middle Ages in the Carpathian region.
