Countess Ilona von Krockow, granddaughter of George Ullmann, bought the castle from the Slovak state in 2000 and renovated it into a splendid 5-star hotel. Together with the great German wine producer Egon Müller, she developed a unique place in Slovakia combining romantic hotel and quality wine. This vineyard benefits from good climatic conditions and the know-how of its producer and cellar master Miroslav Petrech, to give rich and full-bodied Rieslings that rival the best Rieslings of Austria and Alsace.
