L'OEIL DE L'AIGLE

Some people go up to this viewpoint by 4 × 4, others on foot by a rather steep path. It is a popular site in the Rhodopes. People come from Sofia and elsewhere to climb up to this dazzling viewpoint, on good days, when the sky is clear. Near the St. Ilia peak, the Okoto Na Orela (Eagle's Eye) observatory, perched at 1,563 meters above sea level, offers a platform perched 670 meters above the void and the Buynovsko Gorge with an aerial view. Of course, if you are prone to vertigo, you will not be able to use this footbridge!
