RUINS OF THE MEDIEVAL CITY OF CHERVEN

In a beautiful meander of the river Tcherni Lom rise on a perfect natural plateau the ruins of the city of Cherven. The village is picturesquely spread out between hills, cliffs and valley. At the time of the second Bulgarian kingdom, Cherven was an important administrative, military, economic, and religious center. In addition to the 6th century citadel, there is a stone tower from the 11th century, houses and churches, and the city's water supply system.
