The Tram Gian pagoda (literally "the pagoda of a hundred spans"), founded in the 12th century, is one of the oldest in Hanoi. It is built on a hill of the Ma Son range, in a beautiful site planted with hundred-year-old pine trees. In the pagoda, there is a collection of 153 Buddha statues, made of wood, clay or ceramic. In the summer of 2012, the pagoda underwent a restoration controversial for its amateurism. The work had to be stopped in order to save what could still be saved... It can be reached via the Lang-Hoa Lac road (Dai lo Thang Long) or then the road 6. Both roads cross the transverse road 419 which leads to the pagoda
