MABIRA FOREST ECOTOURISM CENTRE

The Mabira Forest Ecotourism Centre, under the canopy, is located 400 m north of the national highway, in the village of Najjembe. This is where the forest hiking trails start and entrance fees to the reserve must be paid. If the attendant is not present, check with members of the community-based NGO MAFICO (Mabira Forest Integrated Community Organization) whose offices are located at the edge of the forest, a few hundred meters from the centre.
