Travel Guide Nature Reserve Of Sainte-Catherine

This nature reserve covers 5,700 square kilometres. It surprises the traveller by the beauty of its landscapes, between sandstone canyons, impressive cliffs and pink granite mountains. Here and there, you can also discover small oases, a source of freshness in this rocky world. Around Mount St. Catherine and Mount Moses, it was necessary to protect the 1,000 floral species, as well as rare species such as the cobra, geckos, desert foxes, Sinai leopards, mountain oryx, dorcas gazelle, and the Pardus jarvisi panther. It is done with the creation of this reserve classified as a national park since 1996.
