This island is connected to the Big Island by a 1 km dike built by the force of the monks' arms. In the 16th century, the island was home to the monastery's farm and then, in the 19th century, to the hermitage of Saint-Serge. The dike is 10 km from the monastery: it is a beautiful walk (count half a day). Don't forget to bring a pass to ask the Forestry Department if you decide to go there by your own means and wish to cross the dike (the museum organizes boat tours. 5h, 300 RUB transport excluded)
