ATELIER DE STAMATIS FTOULIS

The art of ceramics is a traditional craft of Skyros as evidenced by the many stores in the Chora. Prefer a visit to this workshop on the Magazia waterfront. The young ceramist Stamatis Ftoulis learned everything from his father, a great Skyros artist who developed his own colors, especially a soft green, more vibrant than the tradition. You will see the potter's wheel, the kiln and the painting workshop - all handmade, of course - and you will be able to ask your questions about the symbols of the traditional decorations.
