Getting there is already an adventure. On a farm created by Rudi Stein in the 1970s, his son Jürgen maintains a genuine ecotourism program. The bungalows are plastic-free with a natural water treatment system. The restaurant offers typical cuisine, followed by a mini-conference in the evening. 315 species of birds can be observed. Nature and adventure" and "forest bathing" excursions justify a 2-3 day stay. And there's even a chance to take to the skies in a microlight!

In a double room, breakfast is available from US$100/person in a standard room and US$135 in a superior room. Rates are degressive according to the number of people: for example, US$70/pers in a standard room and US$80 in a superior room for a group of four. Full board costs US$162.50/pers for a standard room and US$197.50 for a superior room.There are five standard cabin-style rooms with fans, and four superior rooms with two queen-size beds for up to four people. Two honeymoon suites and eight Kinkajou cabins complete the offer.Ecological features: The bathrooms are equipped with solar hot water, while lighting is provided by solar panels and micro-hydropower.Packages and options: Adventure packages are also available, including transportation from San José, meals and activities. It's possible to spend a day on site from US$120/person (minimum two people) or US$150 per person with a minimum of four people, including transport from Cahuita or Puerto Viejo.

In addition to its comfortable accommodation, Selva Bananito offers a wide range of activities in perfect harmony with its natural surroundings. Guided walks through the jungle give you the chance to discover the region's exceptional flora and fauna. For the more adventurous, there are horseback rides through the forest, gyrocopter escapades and tree-climbing courses.
