MANTA CASTLE

65 km from Turin and 50 km from France, this medieval fortress of severe charm preserves in one of its baronial salons one of the most astonishing testimonies of Gothic painting, a masterly cycle of frescoes inspired by romances of chivalry, depicting the myth of eternal youth and the parade of Preux and Heroines. Rooms with 16th-century frescoes, the large kitchen with its majestic fireplace and the cellars are all part of the tour. The tour also includes the large garden and the castle church, with its important 15th-century frescoes.
