VARIRATA NATIONAL PARK

46 km from the capital, this park offers many hiking trails in a preserved nature with a large fauna. You have to come early in the morning to observe the fabulous parade of the paradisiers of Raggi. The Sogeri road which leads to the park offers beautiful views of the region. The park is often frequented on weekends by residents of Port Moresby and expatriates. If you can, prefer to go on weekdays, where you will have the park just for you.
