Antsohihy (pronounced "antsoui") is a medium-sized stopover town with about 25,000 inhabitants between Majunga and Nosy Be or Diego Suarez. It is precisely located on the national road number 6 connecting the cities of Antsiranana to Ambondromamy and Antananarivo, between the communes of Befotaka and Ankerika. The hunters liked for a long time to meet there, and still meet there (the game abounds particularly in this area). Staying in Antsohihy is not really interesting for tourism, but you may have to spend a night there, for example to go to Analalava the next morning.
