PRASAT SUOR PRAT
Twelve small Hindu shrines or the rope dancers' towers, visible from the Royal Palace Terraces.
This group of twelve small Hindu shrines, nicknamed the "Towers of the String Dancers", probably dates from the reign of Indravarman II (13th century). They can be seen from the Royal Palace Terraces. Tchéou Ta Kouan suggests that they served as "God's judgment", and that citizens with serious disputes were placed at the top of the towers until one of them (the offender, of course) felt unwell. Some of the towers were in such poor condition that they had to be completely renovated in the early 2000s.
