The Governor's Camp is a 10-minute drive from the park (7 km) and can be rented in its entirety for 12 people. You will find individual beds outside in a wooden hut with mosquito net and beds in a tent. It is the perfect place to stay close to nature. Shalika and Chelan have focused on the camp side of things near national reserves and are on their third location (two other locations are in Uda Walawe and Wilpattu). In addition to a safari in Yala, Governor's Camp organizes bird watching trips.
