LAS TORTUGAS DE XILITLA

In this clean and shiny place, furnished with large tables that offer a nice view, you will find a wide selection of good, big and delicious tortas (the best in town, I hear). These hot sandwiches come in a variety of flavours: Cuban style with ham and chorizo, Italian style with mushrooms and parmesan, or the more traditional huasteca style with cecina (a beef ham popular in the region). It is often difficult to find a place to sit, but the tortas are very portable.
