PARQUE NATURAL VILLALUZ

This is an area of great beauty and of crucial importance for this Zoque community since it is here that the famous cueva de la Villa Luz is located, a cave that constitutes the natural habitat of the sardina ciega, the object of a ritual fishing on Palm Sunday (visit it, it is dark, we lend you a lamp but it is very nice). From the road, we cross the Oxolotán river by a suspension bridge (one by one is better) and we land in a much greener area. There are waterfalls where you can bathe, wells of sulphurous water, and paths to discover the forest.
