Tourist Tax: 2 500 FCFA (price for the entire group). It is located 15 km on the left before arriving in Segou. This beautiful village, situated on the edge of the river, is built entirely in the red triangle characteristic of the region. He managed, as well as evil, to preserve his traditions. You can observe the picturesque scenes of village life: women who pilent millet under the mango trees, while others wash the laundry on the shores of the river. A little further, men chat by drinking tea on the sacred square of talks, beside a gigantic and old uprooted balanzan. Villagers do not touch and respect this place. In the middle of the river, bozo fishermen pose their nets. You can only walk with a village guide. Ségoukoro houses the tomb of Biton Coulibaly, king of the Bambara Empire. Restored in 1940, the tomb in itself is nothing extraordinary, but on the beach bordering the village is a magnificent mosque built two centuries ago for the mother of Biton Coulibaly, Ms Ba Sounou Sacko, who, unlike her son, was a devout Muslim.
