It is the largest castle in the canton, once inhabited by a dragon according to legend. After killed, the two noble Wolfram knights and Guntram settled there. Although modified several times over the centuries, its foundations date back to the th century. Very well restored at the beginning of the th century, the castle fully captures this diversity of buildings, since there are three different sites: the house of the Knights, the Stapfer house and the historical museum of Aargau.
