FABÉDOUGOU DOMES
Go there and contact
The domes at Fabédougou offer a view of the African plain in religious silence, and can be visited with a local guide.
It's a vast, almost supernatural setting, made up of dozens of sandstone rocks, some 50 metres high, which resemble superimposed turtles or reclining camels. After a few minutes' climbing, you're right in the middle of the domes, with a view over the African plain in religious silence: a strange sight! To get there, it's always advisable to be accompanied by a local guide. If you're not keen on the heat or walking, you can also reach the domes by road. A short 3 km side trail, well signposted from the waterfall trail, leads to the domes. Or, leaving Banfora, take the beautiful track towards the waterfalls, and at the crow's-foot turn right across the sugarcane fields, with the domes at the end (look up!).
