HUNTER MUSEUM OF AMERICAN ART

Housed in three remarkable buildings forming only one set (a 1970 th century manor house, a building of the s, and a contemporary steel and glass structure), the Hunter Museum presents the American Art of the Colonial Era to the present day through a collection of works by renowned artists such as Thomas Cole (1801-1848), John Marin (1870-1953)., Helen Frankenthaler (1928-2011) or Andy Warhol (1828-1987). The ensemble represents the largest American art collection east of Mississippi. An inescapable place overlooking the Tennessee River.
