The cemetery, whose first graves date back to 1821, houses more than 3 000 soldiers and many local personalities. Head to the section indicated as "Avenue of Directors" to go to the confederate tombs. Car traffic is permitted there. For a guided tour, contact the Visitor center in Natchez.

Un endroit qui vaut le détour. Nous nous sommes déplacés en voiture en suivant les explications du feuillet remis à l'entrée. Jolie promenade à travers les croix, les statues... Pas toujours facile cependant de bien repérer les tombes des "célébrités" locales.
