Highest mountain of 466 m of altitude with magnificent views of the Porcupine Islands and French Bay.
At 466 m in altitude, Cadillac Mountain is not only the highest mountain in the park but also on the East Coast. Overlooking Bar Harbor, it offers magnificent views of the Porcupine Islands and French Bay. It is renowned for the beauty of its sunset, which can only be seen between October and March. Its granite peak can be found at the end of a 4,8 km road, a trail with exhibits on the history of nature and humanity (some parts of the trail are wheelchair accessible).
