A popular and popular lake with shallow water in Acadia National Park offering supervised swimming from May to October.

Echo Lake is one of the most popular and popular lakes in the park, thanks in part to the small sandy beach at its southern tip. The surrounding cliffs provide a spectacular setting. Swimming is in much warmer waters than those bordering Sand Beach! It's ideal for families, as the water is shallow for many metres, and swimming is supervised from May to October. Long Pond can be reached from Echo Lake in a few minutes by car, following Highway 102.
