CAMPGROUNDS

There are several campsites in the park, which accommodate both tents and motorhomes. The closest to Bar Harbor is Blackwoods Campground, which is open all year round and offers rudimentary facilities in the wilderness. The Seawall Campground is located near Bass Harbor. The Duck Harbor Campground is located on Isle au Haut, an island inaccessible by car. You can take the ferry and use the campground with a special permit. Finally, Schoodic Woods Campground is located on the Schoodic Peninsula.
