MARE CARAVAN PARK

This large site is close to the national park offices and offers camper and tent sites with the possibility of a barbecue. There is also a sanitary block. Mare Dam Lake is a rarity in Zimbabwe - there is no bilharzia, so it is safe to take a dip. There are, of course, many visits and hikes to be made around it: Nyangwe and Chawomera forts, pit structures, Rhodes Nyanga Historical Exhibition, Nyangombe Swimming Pool, etc.
